Introduction
After being in the planning stages for months, my trip to Rome occurred in March 2004 as part of seven day trip to Italy. My fiend Judy and I left Oklahoma late on a Saturday morning, arriving in Rome around 8:00 in the morning local time. We spent the first four days in Rome. The morning of the fifth day we took the ItaliaStar train to Venice for another two and a half days. We left Venice at 10:00am CET and arrived back in Oklahoma just before 10:00pm CST, resulting in 19 hours of travel.
